A solid financial condition is potentially a great source of energy and comfort. It may help you to reach your life goals and also provide a safety net in your later years.

As your financial advisor my goal is to help you to acquire and maintain a strong financial foundation.

I offer clients two approaches: Brokerage Services and Investment Management. Below I discuss each method and explain which course might be right for you.

Investment Management: This approach is best suited for investors who prefer to turn over the management of their money to an experienced professional. It is recommended for those who are comfortable with delegating full authority to a third-party. The minimum account size is $300,000.

I practice an asset allocation methodology that engages investment dollars in a coherent investment strategy. Clients can select one of three portfolio options:

  1. Conservative: With long term appreciation potential, characterized by a diversified portfolio of larger cap companies with a 3-7 year time horizon. Low turnover in stocks and bonds. Emphasis is on investing in companies rated high in safety and technical strength.

  2. Income: With preservation of principal, concentrating on dividend-paying stocks, preferred stocks, convertibles, bonds, and other fixed income investments. Emphasis is on safety, diversification, and technical strength.

  3. Aggressive: With higher short term appreciation potential, focusing on a blend of large, mid-cap and small-cap companies, leveraged closed-end funds, specialty or sector funds.

My fees are based on a percentage of assets under management, ranging from 1.25% to .75% per annum.

All of our broker and investment management services are offered through American Investors Company, 2682 Bishop Drive, Suite 123, San Ramon, Ca, 94583, (925) 866-2882 Member FINRA/SIPC and Registered Investment Advisor, serving clients of independent brokers and financial planners since 1966. AIC does not offer proprietary (its own) products. AIC is a member of the Alliance of Independent Broker-Dealers (AIBD). The primary purpose of the AIBD is to provide a cost effective, cooperative mechanism for review and research of investment offerings ordinarily presented to broker/dealers on an individual basis. AIC performs due diligence on "load" mutual funds, limited partnerships, and variable annuities sponsors.

Brokerage Services: Suited for investors who desire control over the investment decision making process and prefer the hands-on support of a broker/advisor. The minimum account size is $300,000.

Each investment must be part of an overall asset allocation strategy. The client is encouraged to determine their own financial profile based upon timelines, tolerance, goals and financial situations. We then find an appropriate mix of asset classes for the portfolio. These asset classes should balance each other so that they give the best rate of return commensurate with risk tolerance. Allocations will be readjusted over time; they most often change in response to market conditions and personal circumstances.

Brokerage accounts, retirement, and/or trust accounts are established at National Financial Services (NFS), LLC. Your stocks, bonds, mutual funds, money market accounts, and other securities will be held at NFS. We offer a comprehensive list of broker services similar to those offered by major brokerage firms.

Other Brokered Investments
Variable and fixed rate annuities.
These investments are ideal for individuals who are interested in accumulating wealth and who are concerned about outliving their retirement income. Many companies offer a guarantee of principal and/or yearly appreciation (living benefit rider). Annuities are a powerful savings vehicle in many instances. Non-qualified money grows tax-deferred.
Direct product programs (Limited Partnerships).
These programs are prescreened security products provided through American Investors Company for investors interested in fixed income, tax shelter, and/or appreciation. They consist of limited partnership participation interests in real estate, mortgage, energy and leasing programs. There are minimum net worth requirements established for each program.
